The former Denver Broncos quarterback John Elway suffered potentially fatal injuries when his long-time agent and business partner, Jeff Sperbeck, fell off and struck his head while he was operating a golf cart.
Sperbeck is on life support at the hospital right now.
On Saturday, April 26, while playing golf at the Madison Club in California, Sperbeck flipped over after falling off the back of the moving golf cart and struck his head on the concrete.
Sperbeck, 61, was alleged to have suffered a catastrophic brain injury and was unconscious but still alive when paramedics came after Elway dialled 911.
